No; stainless steel toilet partitions do not automatically come with stainless steel hardware. They come with our standard hardware, which is chrome-plated steel. Stainless steel hardware is our premium hardware and it comes at an up-charge; however, we highly recommend upgrading to stainless steel hardware as over time this material will withstand heavy wear & tear and corrosion much better than chrome-plated steel hardware.
What are the key differences between stainless steel hardware and chrome-plated steel hardware?
- Strength and Durability: Stainless steel is a more durable material and can withstand heavy daily use over many years. Chrome-plated steel is relatively durable and can also withstand the wear & tear associated with high-traffic restrooms; however, it will start to show signs of wear & tear and become less durable over the years much quicker than stainless steel.
- Corrosion Resistance: Both stainless steel and chrome-plated steel have corrosion resistance; however, after many years, the chrome-plated steel hardware may begin to rust and deteriorate much quicker than the stainless steel hardware.
- Aesthetic: Both materials have shiny and visually appealing finishes that can complement the look of any commercial restroom and toilet partition.
- Cost: Chrome-plated steel hardware is a cost-effective option compared to stainless steel hardware, which is our premium hardware option. Keep in mind that the chrome-plated steel hardware will wear down more quickly than the stainless steel hardware, resulting in more replacement costs over time. The stainless steel hardware may be more expensive up front, but it could end up saving you money in replacement costs and maintenance over time.
In summary, stainless steel toilet partitions do not automatically come with stainless steel hardware; however, it is highly recommended to upgrade to this premium hardware option. Chrome-plated steel is the standard hardware that comes with toilet partitions and while it offers a nice aesthetic, cost savings up front, and relative durability and corrosion resistance, it will likely wear down much quicker than stainless steel hardware over time.
